Information:
The limestone comes from the Western Desert regions of Morocco. Once a vast ocean floor bed, now raised to form part of the greater Sahara Desert. Occasionally the sand reveals low lying slab rock outcrops, semi polished by eons of shifting sands. These outcrops often seem to resemble a unique manufactured tiled floor, rather than a natural event of nature.
Geological Age:
Paleozoic Era, Devonian Period, around 420-390 million years ago.
